The promise
AsktheX exists so people can share thoughtful perspectives with accountability and dignity. It is not a place for gossip, revenge or exposure.
How consent works
- Nothing is published automatically. Every answer goes privately to the person it’s about.
- They can approve it, seal it (kept, never shown), reply to it, report it or delete it.
- There is no public directory or search. Profiles and books are reachable only by private link and are not indexed by search engines.
- Sealed answers can only be shown if the profile owner explicitly grants one specific person access for a limited time.
- No one is ever charged to seal, remove, report or delete content about themselves.
What you may not post
- Anything that isn’t your own first-hand experience.
- Health, sexual, financial or criminal details about anyone, or allegations of crimes.
- Contact details, addresses, workplaces or other identifying information about anyone.
- Threats, harassment, hate, intimidation or encouragement of harm.
- Intimate or sexual images, or any photo you don’t have the right to share.
- Anything about or involving minors.
Reporting
Anyone can report a response, book or profile. Reports go to our moderation team, and actions are recorded in an audit log. Accounts that break these rules may be suspended.
Age
You must be 18 or older to use AsktheX, whether you’re creating a profile or answering an invite.
